Moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1989, he went back to college to study Fine Art Photography with "Shirley Fisher" experimenting with all types of processes to transform an image.

Then moving on to Commercial Photography with "Douglas Peck" (Doug is a graduate of the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography, where he has also served as a faculty member teaching a variety of courses in advanced photography. He is a part-time faculty member at De Anza College and serves on the school’s Advisory Board.)

To complete his photographic education Gerard took a class in photojournalism, where he met his wife who continued on to study with "Ken Kobre" at San Francisco State University.
(Ken has been teaching photojournalism for nearly 30 years, have written the leading photojournalism textbook, "Photojournalism: The Professionals' Approach," now in its 6th edition, and co-authored the 7th and 8th editions of "Photography," the leading basic photography textbook. )

Gerard has since been working as a wedding photographer here in San Francisco, Napa, and Sonoma Wine Country.

Gerard and Rosemarie work as a couple for most weddings. But also retained a certain independence, which is the reason for having their own website, it suits better each personality.
